Installation

Damien Cole Group do not provide installation services, however, we have listed below some useful information to help you with installation.

Equipment

If you are installing your newly purchased Dome Shelter yourself, we recommend using the following equipment to get the job done.​​

  • Elevated Work Platform - we recommend either a scissor lift or boom lift for best access.

  • Access to a welder.

  • Crane or Hiab would be desirable for fitting the cover onto the frame.

Experience

We highly recommend the below experience requirements when looking into installing your dome shelter:

​

  • Basic knowledge of measurements to work out spacings for base plates etc.

  • Experience in welding as this is needed to attach dome shelter assembly to containers.

Tools

In addition to the recommended equipment above, the following tools are recommended when installing your dome shelter.

  • Speed wrench

  • Hammer (13.6kg)

  • Rope

  • Long tape measure (50m)

  • Hammer drill

  • Safety gloves, harness, hard hat

  • Ladders

Care & Maintenance

Like everything in life if we put time and effort into maintenance it promotes a greater life expectancy and less long term cost.

Ground Works

If you have purchased our legs and rails to mount your dome shelter onto, the below link refers to the post spacing required when erecting.

In general after choosing a suitable location to install your dome shelter, the below preparation steps are necessary:

  • support structure must be level to properly and safely erect and anchor the frame

  • water draining off the structure and from areas surrounding the site should drain away to prevent water damage to structure and contents inside and ensure ground integrity.
